Special Notes
*Build Kits available for pick up Tuesdays 6:30-7:30PM after Registration validated (racers will be notified by email when kit is ready for pick up)
*Inspections will be held at Old Mill Park on August 7th from 5:00-7:00PM - this is an open house and Racers can come at their convenience, inspections take approximately 15 minutes each.
*Award Ceremony to be held on the Main Stage at Coolidge Park during Homer Davenport Days
Race Day Details
Race Day is August 8th 2026. Races will be held at Old Mill Park, next to the pool. Once Registration closes on July 25th, Racers will be contacted by email or text with your expected Race Time for your Heat. It is recommended that you arrive early to ensure a timely start. Pick up your pit pass at our Race Desk when you arrive!
Race Heats will vary as the day progresses, but are expected to run every 5-10 minutes between 12:00-4:00pm. Should a Racer’s car win their heat, that car will advance races until eliminated or declared Winner.
Cars will remain in the pit area unless eliminated. Eliminated cars may be picked up throughout the day from our Race Desk.
Join us at the Award Ceremony on the Main State in Coolidge Park, just across the bridge between 4:30-5:00PM as we announce the winners!

The People’s Choice Awards
Not everyone is a master craftsman, but anyone can be creative! Come participate with us and vote on your favorite Derby Car elements.
The People’s Choice Awards give everyone at the Community Pinewood Derby a chance to be part of the action! Spectators and racers alike can vote for their favorite cars in two fun categories:
Fastest Looking Car – The car that looks like it could fly down the track at lightning speed.
Most Creative Car – The most unique, imaginative, and eye-catching design of the day.
Voting ballots will be available for pickup at the Welcome Table on race day. Completed ballots must be turned back into the Welcome Table before voting closes.

Voting Closes: 2:00 PM
Additionally, the Silverton Flywheels Car Club will be awarding a special Judges Choice award based on creativity, craftsmanship, originality, paint and detail work, and overall presentation. This award celebrates the builders who go above and beyond in bringing their vision to life on the track.
